I've just been looking at deck plans - we have a cabin on the upper promenade deck (4070) which seems to be above something called Half Moon on the deck below from what I can guess. Does anyone know what this is - e.g. a noisy place? Ruth - you know everything, how about it?

The Half Moon Room -- sometimes there are card players in there during the day time. Sometimes religious services are held there. Sometimes it is a meeting room for small groups. It won't be noisy at night or any other time for that matter.

The Half Moon Room on the vista class ships is one of the rooms where they play cards, probably bridge....HAL might also rent it out to groups for some special functions... IMO it should be one of the quietest rooms on the ship..Even if it were noisy, I rather doubt that you will hear from anything below you..

 

We have rooms just below the Night club or the casino on the Noordam (also a vista ship) & we're not worried about noise at all..

I see 4070 as above the back wall of the Stuyvesant Room or the forward end of the shop. I believe the Stuyvesant Room is where the Digital Workshop classes are now held. In either case, it should not be noisy below you.

Hudsom Room/Half Moon Rooms on various ships are used as described above and for meetings by small/medium size groups.

 

They also use them for evening cocktail parties sometimes.
