Port Everglades back to Back

The HAL ship most likely will be at Pier 26 while the Princess ship most likely will be at Pier 2. If there is more than one Princess ship in port that day, it could be assigned any pier. If there is more than one HAL ship in port that day, it likely would be at Pier 21, 25, or 29. If your Princess ship is at Pier 2, you will need to get a taxi to get to the HAL pier. Pier 2 is too far away to walk. Port Everglades would supply a shuttle from the mid-port parking garage to Pier 29. Piers 21 and 25 are adjacent to the mid-port parking garage.

Don't worry. Others have made this kind of transition before, including me. The port employees are used to helping people make this kind of connection as smoothly as possible.

We're scheduled to switch from a Princess ship to a Holland America ship on a back to back of sorts. Has anyone done this before in Fort Lauderdale? Would the ships be docked close together?

HAL ships are quite aways from Princess if Princess is at Pier 2.

There are plenty of taxis available.

We did this b-t-b 2 years ago. We took a cab from the Princess dock to HAL's dock. The cost was $10.

In this picture, Emerald Princess is the ship to the far right, and HAL ships Westerdam and Zuiderdam are far left. EM

Hello Essie'sMom,

Carol here from the dream TA. As I was reading your cruise history, I see you were on the Splendor just after we got off. We grabbed the week cruise up to Canada when H1N1 hit. What a deal! It was a fun glimpse of what the Dream would have to offer.

Give Essie a hug from us.

Essie has been cruising a lot this year...We are off on Celebrity in late October, before QM2 in Dec. We are spending her casino winnings! Carolyn
