washing sheets where to find

Can anyone help me before we travel

I have read before that a lot of you use some form of travel washing sheets that have detergent and softner in one. I need to try and find them when I visit Las Vegas before we go on our cruise.

Has anyone got any idea what shops will sell them on the strip? CVS etc

 

 

Also what are they called. I think its purex am I right

I've seen them at Target, Wal Mart, and several normal grocery stores around here. Hopefully you'll be able to locate them in Essex.

If all else fails and you can not find them, I would ask someone from your roll call if they could bring you a few with them. They are very lightweight and I am sure some great person on your roll call could add a few to their luggage for you. ;)

We find them at CVS, Wal-Mart, Walgreens, Albertson's, Target - they are in every grocery store & major pharmacy around here. No need to order on line! They work well, and I plan to take some on our b-2-b on the Emerald Princess next month.

They will not sell them on the ship. I did not see them in Tesco, but I'm sure you can find something like the Purell 3-in-1 in a Boots before you leave home.

I just put one in with a load of wash. They're so easy! I got them at Walmart. They come in a refill size and one that has the dispenser for first timers. I think the refill would take up less room. Purex.

Another use for these sheets is as a room freshener.

I find sometimes the room can smell a bit stale, even with a balcony. I just take a laundry sheet out of the box and place it somewhere in the room and it smells like fresh laundry when I come back!

I had a coupon and bought some last week (not expecting to really like them) and really loved the way my clothes feel/smell! I am totally hooked!

I just packed 6 sheets from the dispenser pack into a quart bag ziplock. I added 6 Tide stain remover pillows and 6 color takeup sheets (because I tend to throw it all in on the ship and I sort carefully at home). Works like a charm and is so easy. Weights less than 8 oz. Cost a fraction of what the ship board stuff does and you don't need the machine to be full or to have quarters. I LOVE Princess laundry rooms. Almost a deal breaker if the ship does not have self service laundry:o

many thanks for all your info, just one more question can you use these in the dryer as well. I mean use the same one after taking it out of the washing machine or do i need to bring dryer sheets from home.

 

These purex 3 in 1 are impossible to find in the UK. so info is limited

Yes, you use the same one from washing machine to dryer.

I have seen them in our grocery stores and WalMart. They are not cheap in our area.

I used these on a 12 night cruise (plus 2 nights precruise) last year in the Mediterranean.

 

They worked great and easy to pack but after trying beforehand, found that the fabric softener can leave spots on some fabrics. So, I actually cut off the fab.softener/dryer portion so only the detergent part was left. Then I brought bounce dryer sheets.

 

Will do same for trip in March. Sure makes it easy to pack and not have to pay high prices for soap on ship.

On ships that do have the washers/dryers -- I buy the Tide Travel size packets for the washer and bring my own fabric softner sheets for the dryer.
