Cabins below the food court..is noise a problem?

Greetings..

We are looking at the Crown and found some cabins available, but I notice the Horizon food court in on the deck above. Does anyone know if there is noise from above?

We are planning on November of 2011 and just found out we might be able to go, so there is not many cabins remaining, all the mini suites are sold out.

We have had cabins under the Horizon court several times and have never had a problem with noise.

I'm happy to hear this! We'll be in an aft cabin on Riviera deck, just below HC on the Emerald.

We find cabins in the 600-700 range are excellent with no noise issues.

We had R701 on the Emerald last March and loved it. The deck above you hangs out more and provides loads of shade on the balcony. No noise issues and the location can't be beat.

We have not smelled any food odors in areas like that.

No cabins above the HC or the IC.

Cabins on Plaza deck next to the IC may smell a little.

We never have.

I had a balcony cabin on the Royal on Marina deck, M633, below the Horizon Court. Awful, awful, awful. The noise (banging, scraping, etc.) started at 3:30am every morning without fail, loud enough to wake me from a sound sleep.

 

I'd heard reports from others that there's little or no noise beneath the HC and I figured that it's carpeted so I should be fine. It wasn't. I'll never, ever book a cabin beneath a public deck again, no matter what's above.
