Cruise booked on NCL Spirit through Harrah's

Has anyone sailed on a cruise that was given to you by Harrah's? We did this for our upcoming cruise on the Ncl Spirit out of New Orleans. We paid the port fees and taxes, and they are providing us with a balcony cabin on deck 9.

Will we be given the drink card to use in the casino while playing or some coupon books I've read about on some threads? Any special get-to-gathers for this group of people?

Thank you for any knowledge you may be able to share with me.

I've had a few casino certificates. Yes, you will get a drink card. Comes in very handy. On one cruise the casino manager held a casino party for the top players which was very nice. But that doesn't always happen.

Two things to make sure you do...1. Always ask for a comp while playing on board. The hosts never offer.. you have to ask. Depending on play you can ask for a dinner in the specialty restaurants, spa treatments.. etc.. 2. When you sail NCL again, make your reservation through Casinos at Sea. Again, depending on play you may get a comped room or a deep discount.

Have a great time!

I have just used one of these too. However in past bookings, I have had hosts offer dinner, and other niceties - unprompted.

As with everything, if you are on the cut-off line, you may get the minimum but there are many things a host can do including dinners with a bottle of wine, spa services, large credits from ship-board spending, as examples.

My DH is a Total Rewards member and he gets the offers in the mail every so often for a comped 7 day cruise for two ( less the taxes and fees). We took advantage of this with our Alaska cruise last August. We went to Vegas last month to pick up our certificate for another. We booked the Star to Mexico next April through Casinos at Sea. We pay extra to bring DD and to upgrade from the OV that they give you but it's not too much. and so worth it.:)

We did get the drink cards but DH doesn't drink and I don't gamble so we didn't use them.

We love the free cruise offers!

Have a great cruise!

My husband is a Total Rewards player and has never received the free cruise offer in the mail. What is his status (Seven Stars, Diamond)? Would love to be offered it once. Who do you suggest I talk to?

Thanks!

He is Diamond. I don't know if that makes a difference.

Do you have a casino host? I would suggest calling him/her to see if they can send you an offer, if not call Total Rewards and ask. I remember one time we couldn't take advantage of one, couldn't make it up to Vegas at the time they were offering it. About a month later my DH's casino host called with another weekend so we went then.

You probably already know this but you have to go to Vegas and stay for the weekend to take advantage of the offer, the room is comped though.

It would be cool of they just sent you the certificate but they want you to go pick it up so you are spending your time in the casino. ;)

Good luck, I hope it works out for you!

Same here. On our past 3 NCL cruises we have been given a comped meal by the casino host (2 meals on our most recent Dawn cruise - but the 2nd one we did jokingly ask for and she obliged) without asking; they actually sought us out. We've also gotten money taken off our bill on top of whatever our casino points earned us.
