marne001 Posted December 26, 2010 #76 Share Posted December 26, 2010 Beware of the craps training/demo! It isn't representative of real-life odds. It pays off much more often than the real deal because the demo is done with loaded dice. (Notice the holes bored all the way through them...) Good advice! Also, throughout any casino personnel talks/discussion, they constantly say the casino adheres to Nevada's gaming laws and "By law must pay out (ninety some percent, I forget amount) a minimum percent". Horsefeathers! I have won once at slots in 29 cruises. I am glad other posters have reported on this thread they have done better. Just want to caution folks that the casino employees are not held to any US laws regarding what they must pay out! Eyes wide opened. Merry Christmas and happy cruisin' to all. *Ashley* Posted December 27, 2010 #77 Share Posted December 27, 2010 My tip for winning in the ship's casino, or any casino for that matter is to sit down next to me, lol. I always lose, however anyone that sits next to me wins. And not just a $5 win. My DH and I took our first cruise last May; I was playing in the casino on a slot, a lady sits down next to me pushes the button a couple of times and wins a couple hundred dollars. A man then comes and sits down and says "If she can do it so can I" and darn it! he sat down pushed the button a few times and he won a couple hundred dollars too. Now if only I could have a little luck for myself.

If you mean you were in Canada then I was the first winner and my husband was the second winner:) We went to a casino in Canada years ago and I sat between a man and a woman. I spun twice and won $250. After I was paid my husband jokingly said do it again and I spun three more times and won another $250. The lady sitting to my right got up and left. My husband sat in her chair. While we waited for the guy to come pay me a second time my husband grabbed some of my quarters. His first spin he won $500!!! The next day I won another $250:) It was a great weekend! Now I always spin three times after winning anything good:) I don't want to give it all back but I want to make sure it isn't going to pay out again!
