?Room for 3 but not for 4?

I checked into a cruise for 4 relatives and got the "sorry no rooms available for 4" in red on the Serenade cruise. When I plugged in "3", I found many rooms, one of which would be perfect for the 4 of us. It has a queen bed, a sofa sleeper AND a pullman, is mid-ship, and is in the E1 balcony category. The specific room I'd like is 8056. I've written to Royal and am awaiting an answer but would like to know if anyone here has any idea why that room or any like it can't be booked for 4. Thanks!

There are E1s that hold 4. Maybe they are at capacity for quads.

Yes E1s (deluxe oceanview staterooms) do hold 4.

I agree, keep checking. I have experienced looking for a triple for weeks and suddenly one will come available.

Does it make any sense that the room has a bed, a sofa bed, AND a pullman, if it can't accomodate 4? Just wondering.

Just because a room can hold 4 doesn't mean that the cruise line will allow it to be used for 4. Your sailing may be almost at capacity and the cruiseline is restricting triple's and/or quads.

Why not just call and ask? The last time I wrote to RC it took 6 weeks to get a response.
