Salsa Dancer Posted October 11, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 11, 2010 I checked into a cruise for 4 relatives and got the "sorry no rooms available for 4" in red on the Serenade cruise. When I plugged in "3", I found many rooms, one of which would be perfect for the 4 of us. It has a queen bed, a sofa sleeper AND a pullman, is mid-ship, and is in the E1 balcony category. The specific room I'd like is 8056. I've written to Royal and am awaiting an answer but would like to know if anyone here has any idea why that room or any like it can't be booked for 4. Thanks! cruisinfanatic Posted October 11, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 11, 2010 You're going to be a long time waiting if you wrote. Pick up the phone. E1's never hold 4. You won't get one.

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't aware that E1's won't hold 4. So that explains it!
marci22 Posted October 11, 2010 #4 Share Posted October 11, 2010 There are E1s that hold 4. Maybe they are at capacity for quads.

I wasn't aware that E1's won't hold 4. So that explains it! Yes E1s (deluxe oceanview staterooms) do hold 4. What sail date? Keep checking. marci22 Posted October 11, 2010 #6 Share Posted October 11, 2010 I agree, keep checking. I have experienced looking for a triple for weeks and suddenly one will come available.
Salsa Dancer Posted October 11, 2010 Author #7 Share Posted October 11, 2010 Does it make any sense that the room has a bed, a sofa bed, AND a pullman, if it can't accomodate 4? Just wondering.
wingnutphl Posted October 11, 2010 #8 Share Posted October 11, 2010 Just because a room can hold 4 doesn't mean that the cruise line will allow it to be used for 4. Your sailing may be almost at capacity and the cruiseline is restricting triple's and/or quads.
Marie51 Posted October 11, 2010 #9 Share Posted October 11, 2010 Why not just call and ask? The last time I wrote to RC it took 6 weeks to get a response.
