Cabin assignment w/guarentee question

We're leaving Saturday, Oct. 23 on the CB. We booked a BF balcony guarantee cabin. The Princess cruise personalizer is now shut down. If I get assigned between now and Saturday, will I be informed or do I have to wait until we get to the gate to know where our cabin is?

I just checked on Princess site and was able to see my personalizer.

Personalizer is not shut down 5 days before you cruise. Only your ability to make changes is. Check the PDF for your boarding pass to see if it has been updated. Otherwise you will get the assignment at the pier.

I have read on these boards that Princess will call if they have an upgrade offer close to sailing. I know that they have emailed upgrades to me a few weeks prior, but never within a week.

 

So where are you in Central Jersey? I grew up in Readington Twp.

go to your cruise personalizer and you can still print boarding passes and luggage tags up until sailing....if your room has changed it will be on your boarding pass and also the tags and u can reprint....this happened to us 2 cruises back....3 days before sailing....nice surprise.

We found out four days before our last cruise. I was able to print the boarding pass. For some reason, the luggage tags wouldn't print for me. But it was no trouble to get luggage tags at the pier.

Thanks everyone. I guess I am lacking on the lingo. The personalizer changed so that we can not make changes any longer. I looked at the pdf and still no stateroom...Hoping and praying for something good but I'll be happy with my BF balcony cabin that I booked.

A few years ago, we were upgraded from an outside to a balcony a few days before sialing. We fly to the embarkation port and are waiting for the Princess transfer to the ship. We start talking to the couple next to us. We get to what cabin are you in. Yes, you guessed it we are all in the same cabin. We get to the pier and go to check in. Turns out they were upgraded from what became out balcony to a mini.
