We leave in 40 days on the Sensation...have I missed all my opportunities?? Even so, for future reference I'd love to know the best ways to get some of that AWESOME OBC!! firefly333 Posted October 26, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 26, 2010 When you cruise, but a future cruise cert. Next time you book a cruise, send it in, and you will have some OBC for the next cruise, depending on how long. Its only $50 OBC for a 3 to 5 day. Buy 100 shares of Carnival stock. Book early saver rate and get a price drop. Book during one of these sales where they pump up the prices to match the "free" OBC that comes with that rate. (nothing is usually a deal, its more like buying your own OBC usually). You can buy some kind of fun dollars or some such that are OBC on your cruise. Bmaintz Posted October 26, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 26, 2010 We bought a $100 Certificate on our last cruise on the Splendor... You pre-pay the $100 for your next cruise (good for 5 years) & you also get a free $100 OBC (per cabin & 7 day cruise) on your next booked cruise... Pretty good deal & you can get a full refund if you change your mind later... The Splendor had a table set up selling the Certificates.... salty dingo Posted October 26, 2010 #5 Share Posted October 26, 2010 you don't really earn OBC... usually it is an incentive for booking a particular rate, as with a group. Other ways to get it are: putting money on your account ahead of time, and refunds of port charges for missed ports.
