earn Posted October 30, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 30, 2010 We are doing a transatlantic cruise next April with our two boys (12 and 10). They really enjoy meeting new friends on board, and it is usually difficult to get them off the ship at port as a result. They have very long Easter holidays and so the TA and a trip to Disney fits with school for them, but I am concerned that there will be too few kids on the cruise. Am I correct? cb at sea Posted October 30, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 30, 2010 Don't worry...there will be kids on EVERY cruise....there may not be as many as in the summer, but there WILL be other children. They'll be fine, and so will you!

kitty9 Posted October 31, 2010 #4 Share Posted October 31, 2010 The most kids I've ever had on any of my 6 trans Atlantics were 2 to 3. BTW, you're doing a trans Atlantic from the US to Europe? Those are the only ones that go at that time of year.
Nebr.cruiser Posted October 31, 2010 #5 Share Posted October 31, 2010 We've been on a couple of TA's in April, and there were some kids on each cruise--not a lot, but some. They seemed to be having a good time. It's hard to tell if there will be kids of a similar age to yours, though; I'm estimating there were less than 50 of all ages from babies to teens. earn Posted October 31, 2010 Author #6 Share Posted October 31, 2010 Yes we are doing a US to Europe TA. Don't like the idea of loosing an hour each day, but it will be great to bring the kids home from a trip to the US without jet lag! Can't wait. At least the flowrider and the climbing wall may be less busy!
