poe17 Posted November 3, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2010 Can anyone tell me if your allowed hair straightners on board princess ships, we are going on Emerald Princess soon, and would be lost without them, pauline:confused:
Hank1468 Posted November 3, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 3, 2010 My GF always brings hers. Never had a problem. Just don't bring an clothes iron, those are not permitted. They provide clothes irons in the self-service laundromat. Also bring some Downey Wrinkle Release too, which helps.
Khemosabi Posted November 3, 2010 #3 Share Posted November 3, 2010 I was wondering this too. If they don't let me on the Island Princess with my Chi, I'm gonna have a fit.

Tralynn Posted November 3, 2010 #5 Share Posted November 3, 2010 I always pack mine in my checked luggage and put it away in the cabin once it's cooled. I'd pass out if they took it from me.
Rare Morgsmom Posted November 3, 2010 #6 Share Posted November 3, 2010 My (male) colleague once said that if his wife was given a choice between cruising with him or cruising with her Chi, he'd be out in a hot minute

KKMKEM Posted November 4, 2010 #11 Share Posted November 4, 2010 My daughter's Chi burned up on the last cruise. She was devastated. In port, we could only find a cheap Clairol one, but it worked great. It didn't throw the bathroom plug.
rdsqrl Posted November 4, 2010 #12 Share Posted November 4, 2010 I bring both my straightener and my curling iron. That's not weird, right? Only if I used them both on the same night, I guess . . .

gingera Posted November 4, 2010 #18 Share Posted November 4, 2010 I go natural when we cruise...I have thick, curly hair, bordering on kinky...but use lots of leave in conditioner and some mousse or gel to set...or just pull up or back. Love it!!! I have been asked if I am Polynesian, Mexican, Hawaiian, Fench, and Italian. It makes me laugh! It is my vacation and that means giving my hair a vacation, too! Boy Blue Posted November 6, 2010 #19 Share Posted November 6, 2010 I took my GHD's on CP but I think because of the voltage in the cabin they turned themselves off before they were hot enough...

quincytoo Posted November 7, 2010 #22 Share Posted November 7, 2010 I bring both my straightener and my curling iron. That's not weird, right? Only if I used them both on the same night, I guess . . . You calling me weird???? LOL I use the flat iron to get out the fuzz then sometimes once in a long while will use my huge 2 inch barrel curling iron at the front to get some beach wave thingy happening. Works great....think Jennifer Aniston hair......now I just need to start working on having a body like hers......opps I like to eat and hate to work out for hours a day..... And yes on all my Princess cruises electric styling tools have not been a problem add me to the mix of lost with out my tools.
