Wendy The Wanderer Posted November 11, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 11, 2010 Ah nice, that's where we spent our second honeymoon (20th anniversary). More than 10 years ago now. Sigh.
sandandsea lovers Posted November 12, 2010 #3 Share Posted November 12, 2010 Yes, that was the reason we chose the PG, for our 25th wedding anniversary and it was so lovely to celebrate with many other couples and do the wedding anniversary cocktail party. What a romantic night, watching the sun go down over Bora Bora at La Palette. Reminiscing......................

Emdee Posted November 12, 2010 #5 Share Posted November 12, 2010 27th for me.... I have the lovely pictures wrapped in the green blanket to prove it. My husband brought back the anniversary prayer and one year when we had a Polynesian party at the cottage we read the prayer for a friend's 25th anniversary. MightyQuinn Posted November 12, 2010 Author #6 Share Posted November 12, 2010 LOL. Seems to me that y'all PG regulars are seriously infected with that mystery disease, so any excuse to hop aboard will do. Second, third, fourth, whatever honeymoon fits the bill nicely, n'est ce pas? But I did notice in Member Reviews that a few young newly-weds cruise PG for their first honeymoon. Nothing like getting 'em early (and often). :D:D Wendy, I have to tell you that I recently stumbled upon your review of your very first cruise (special anniversary) aboard Paul Gauguin in 2000. It was a great read! What a fabulous intro to cruising you had. No wonder you're hooked on the best!

Emdee Posted November 12, 2010 #8 Share Posted November 12, 2010 Mighty, They have always had some form of anniversary specials - photos etc. I just had my daughter take our pictures all decked out in the blanket against the Bora Bora backdrop. It was a very romantic event with the sun setting and verse reciting etc. You are totally correct about any excuse to go on the PG. The moment I told my husband that Mtn Driver ( who we have never met) was getting a group together he somehow found the vacation he never really had and we booked. In fact we have to keep from mentioning the PG to him or we wont be vacationing anywhere else!
