cruiseidaho Posted December 19, 2010 #2 Share Posted December 19, 2010 Is it walkable? Thank you The distance is about six miles, crossing over two major bridges, across Terminal Island with the seemingly endless container cargo fields of the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles. Few sidewalks, lots of traffic. It would be a "marathon" of a walk.

Rare PatriciaF Posted December 19, 2010 #4 Share Posted December 19, 2010 The Queen Mary is in the Port of Long Beach next door to the Carnival dock. Princess uses the Port of Los Angeles (San Pedro). As stated in the above, while you could walk if you are into LONG walks, it wouldn't be very scenic and you need to watch out for the large trucks that are driving in the area. janacin Posted December 19, 2010 #5 Share Posted December 19, 2010 Is it walkable? Thank you Not really. If you're talking about the first and historic Queen Mary, it is located at the harbor in the city of Long Beach and the Princess piers are in San Pedro. Not walking distance but you can take a cab there.

Astro Flyer Posted December 19, 2010 #7 Share Posted December 19, 2010 It's 7 1/2 miles & a 15 minute car ride & "only" 9.2 miles, 2 hr 57 minutes on foot. ;) I don't know how much it costs for a cab but the longer cab fare from LAX per the Princess port info costs $35/$40.
