reddawn Posted January 3, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 3, 2011 question about parking? do you pay on your way in or your way out? and if we dock at 8am and maybe get to our car around 9am or so, do we still have to pay for that day of parking? just trying to plan my expenses!! Chesneygirl Posted January 3, 2011 #3 Share Posted January 3, 2011 For anyone that has parked here recently, can you confirm one way or the other as to whether or not the paint overspray is still an issue here for parked cars?
cruiselover58 Posted January 3, 2011 #4 Share Posted January 3, 2011 We parked there twice in 2010, in May and September and never had a problem of any kind.
yogimax Posted January 3, 2011 #5 Share Posted January 3, 2011 While there was a problem at one time, the rest of the paint hysteria is more urban legend than truth.

4merlurker Posted January 3, 2011 #9 Share Posted January 3, 2011 Not an urban legend. Halloween cruise 2009. My van as well as others on the cruise had some kind of overspray on them. The terminal took care of it. I took my van to a local shop and they reimbursed me. ~Connie
138east Posted January 3, 2011 #10 Share Posted January 3, 2011 Yes - the paint spray issue was very real when it occurred. However, the protective barriers had been damaged and they painted anyway. There was a recent fire at the paint spray area - don't know if this has shut them down at all. Someone else commented that the best place to park was as far away from the painting area as possible - this would be the parking on the other side of the road where the handicapped parking is (there is regular parking as well). Don't know if this is true, but it's an option.
