Patters from Island Princess Christmas Cruise

Here are the last five days' worth of Patters. I did not bother to scan the back page of them because it made the file size too large. The biggest activities listed on the back pages are casino tournaments and spa specials. They also have ads for the art gallery, photo/video gallery, bar news, Internet cafe, future cruise consultant, and boutiques.

You're a gem, geoherb! DH and I enjoyed your "live" thread and will have fun reading through the Patters. Even though things might be a little different during our 1/29 cruise, the Patters give us a good idea of what activities are offered at what times. Thanks for sharing them here at CC.

DH and I done several "live" threads and will probably take turns doing one from the Island Princess, too. It's nearly time for us to begin packing :D

Bon Voyage!

Chris

Yes. I went to the one about the Panama Canal. Jeana, the port lecturer, was very informative about the history. She also provided commentary that could be heard on the open decks while we were going through the locks. I missed her other lectures on Cartagena, Limon, and Aruba.

Thank You! I have a deposit down on the Crown for Jan...the new route to Aruba and Curuaso(sp)..but now..I am biting my nails..should I change to the Island Princess?

After those patters...and the thought of revisiting Costa Rica...maybe yes!

You are a dear to take the time to do that for all of us armchair travelers ( for now)!!! Some Tropical Sunshine in a manner of speaking on a gloomy, cold day.

Great job on scanning all of the Patters, Neal. I'm sure a lot of folks will find these useful. I know that all the scanning takes a lot of time and effort. We always come home with all the Patters and intentions to scan them and it never ends up happening. :o Oh well, I suppose they're a nice keepsake.

Thanks for the post. Interesting part was the info that you can apparently switch back and forth from Traditional to Anytime Dining :confused:

I started a thread about this yesterday. I'm curious about how the option would work. Perhaps you can comment further on that thread.

Thanks for the post. Interesting part was the info that you can apparently switch back and forth from Traditional to Anytime Dining :confused:

That part stuck out to me as well when I first read it. I'd like to think it was a typing error, as the Patter also says Traditional first seating was at 5:15pm, when it was actually assigned for 5:45pm on the cruise card. We eventually asked the Maitre D' about it when we went to check on our traditional table reservation, and he said dinner was between 5:30 and 5:45pm. Lots of confusion the first day on the cruise.

geoherb:

I noted in one of the Princess Patters that they offered a Bag It 'Special' for $25.

Did you take advantage of this or know of anyone who did? If so, how did your clothes turn out? I did this on my last Holland America cruise and was satisfied with the results.

If you have already covered this in one of your posts, I apologize.

Thank you,

Don
