Going on Summit tommorrow, can we board earlier than 2 p.m.?

Celebrity says 2 p.m. but in the past we have always boarded much earlier than what they say. Have never left from San Juan either so I wanted to be sure. Thanks for any advice!!

We have always gone early around 11am and waited and were usually one by noon even in San Juan a couple of years ago on the Summit. Have a wonderful time. We will be on her Feb 26th

Hi,

 

I cruised on the Summit in late November. I boarded the ship at approximately 12:30. There was no line at this time and I immediately boarded the ship.

We plan on boarding the Eclipse before noon tomorrow. After reading all the reviews of Bistro on 5, we are planning on having lunch there immediately.

 

Since we are driving from sarasota we are parking at United Parking. $75 instead of $140 at the POM for the week. They will not let you park until after 11:30 so that the cruisers disembarking can get their cars. I have read mixed reviews but the majority who have used United were pleased. We have our fingers crossed.

You can board earlier than 2:00 but your room may not be ready yet. Last year we boarded about 1:30. Our cabin was ready but some people were waiting in the lounges for there cabin to be finished.

I will be sailing in 3 weeks and will be at the pier between 11 and 12:D

and yes, you can board before 2:00.

We always go directly to the ship, check in our luggage and ourselves, the rooms may not be ready but you can enjoy the public areas until your room is ready. We cruising on Summit Jan 22nd.

The practice lately on some ships and some decks is to close the "fire" doors so that early arrivals cannot access their rooms.

We have generally been able to board between 11 and 12 except for some "interesting" times which delayed the process.

We boarded btwn 11 and 12 too, but room were not announced as ready till 1:30.
