yellowbird23 Posted February 2, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 2, 2011 Recently sailed on this line and in the entire casino there were only 3 (yes THREE) penny machines, about 20 nickel machines and never once in 7 days did I see anyone win any kind of jackpot. Beware!
cb at sea Posted February 2, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 2, 2011 Cruise ships have NO incentive for you to win...you are a "captive" audience! It's not like you have a choice of casinos to gamble in.....we love gambling..and do it in Vegas...where they vie for your money! On a ship, consider it "entertainment" only! AndyTheK Posted February 2, 2011 #3 Share Posted February 2, 2011 I fail to understand why anypne would play slots anywhere, much more so on cruise ships. They are truly an unknown: can pay whatever they please. The only casino games that offer any chance at all are blackjack and craps. Even then the house has an advantage in the long run. True that blackjack can be manipulated by dishonest casinos but craps? Everything is open ad above board. Dice can not be easily "fixed". S o-called loaded dice are an item found in magic shops, and not on a craps table. In sum, you want to play video games at an unknown cost to you? Go ahead, but take note of what you are doing. UKBayern Posted February 2, 2011 #4 Share Posted February 2, 2011 MSC is a European cruise line, so that would explain why there aren't many slot machines. Europeans consider the casino a classy thing and go to the casino in Europe all dressed up to play roulette or black jack, not the slot machines. In many European countries, bars, pubs and gas stations have slot machines, not a very classy affair.
