question about connecting rooms

this may be a dumb question sorry..

 

we have never cruised with all 3 of our kids...until this upcoming april... This year we are taking along my father and his friend so 1 of our kids will be in their cabin. We booked 2 separate cabins.

 

 

so when you book "connecting cabins" is that cheaper than 2 totally separate cabins even though they know you're traveling together????

No, no cheaper. They are two separate cabins (many times totally unrelated people book connecting cabins - then the connecting door remains shut and locked just like in connecting hotel rooms).

No cheaper...just more convenient, if you're traveling with kids or family...you can access the other cabin without going into the hallway.
