Freedom Aft Question

Recommended Posts

We have had aft cabins in the past & love them. Both 9404 & 8410 are available on our next cruise on the Freedom, however the deck plans for those cabins say it's a limited ocean view. Does anyone have any pics of either of these cabins of what's considered limited view? They are aft corner cabins, in the past these type of cabins on other ships have great wide open views.

Try this link... it has pics from most vantage points. The obstruction is the metal super structure on the back of the ship and isn't much of an obstruction unless you are on deck six.

  • 4 weeks later...

For those of you with aft experience, Is it smoky on those balconies?

I was just reading that people trying to avoid cigarette smoke should book forward cabins since smoke will drift backward when the boat is underway.

Too late now. We've got 2 aft cabins on deck 8. I hope I don't have to stay inside or risk an asthma attack.

Have cruised in aft cabins on many ships and never noticed smoke. There will sometimes be settled soot from the engines on Voyager and Freedom class. Be sure to check and wipe off as necessary before you sit down!

We have been in an aft balcony twice now (and booked for a third one this fall as we are now hooked :)) and did not have a problem with smoke compared with other balcony cabin locations we have had in the past.
