MCC retired Posted March 11, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 11, 2011 First time in London 2 days prior to cruise. Seems to be 2 outfits offering the daily Hop-on , Hop-off Bus tours online. The Original London Sightseeing , and the Big Bus . Anyone have a preference or comments ? They appear about the same .
John Bull Posted March 11, 2011 #2 Share Posted March 11, 2011 Yes, they're hot rivals. Helps keep them both in order.:) The Original seems a little more popular, though there's little to choose and their central London routes are identical. A lot of folk choose according to which is more convenient to their hotel, and Big Bus scores with a good west-central route (recorded commentary only), passing many tourist hotels which feeds into the major routes at Marble Arch. You might like to check the services near your hotel. John Bull
Ashland Posted March 11, 2011 #3 Share Posted March 11, 2011 We went with the Original since one of their stops was very close to our hotel on Kensington Court (Milestone)..The option you're given to add the fish & chips meal at Sherlock Holmes Pub is a great bargain, don't pass it up....We enjoyed this HOHO very much..On some of the routes the live guides where wonderfully entertaining...A great overview that we spent an entire day doing...:D
Giantfan13 Posted March 12, 2011 #4 Share Posted March 12, 2011 Agree with Ashland 100%. We also used the Original Bus, and did the Fish and chips at Sherlock Holmes Pub. I really don't know if the Big bus offers the same deal. If so, grab it. We had a glorious day and we rode up on the open top, like a good tourist should do. :D:D:D:D:D Cheers Len
