sptym Posted March 25, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 25, 2011 If you have an early excursion like 7:30 am will the restaurants adjust their times so people can have an early breakfast? Or can you get a breakfast from room service at 5 :30 am. ?

RCI for example offers a hot breakfast via room service (not sure that early though) but other lines like Princess you can only get Continental. I know Princess has a 24 hour buffet so that might be an option if it is offered on the line you are travelling with.
ama-sam Posted March 25, 2011 #4 Share Posted March 25, 2011 I have found that ships do adjust breakfast times on port days if it is an early stop. Maybe not 5:30, but the buffet will be open in time for you to have breakfast.

KirkNC Posted March 25, 2011 #6 Share Posted March 25, 2011 My memory maybe faulty but I am pretty sure we have eaten in the Lido on HAL ships as early as 6:30. Kirk
dsrdsrdsr Posted March 25, 2011 #7 Share Posted March 25, 2011 If the ship's official excursions are leaving so early, they'll make sure breakfast is available somewhere.

The breakfast card they left in the room just asked what time we wanted it - it didn't restrict the hours. I had the impression I could have it at 3am if I wished. Arwenmark Posted April 12, 2011 #9 Share Posted April 12, 2011 Just keep in mind that if this excursion is a private, not ship one you may not be able to get off the ship in time for a 7:30 excursion, depends on when the ship clears, if it is a tendered port etc.
Jimnbigd Posted April 14, 2011 #10 Share Posted April 14, 2011 Royal Caribbean Voyager class and higher have Cafe Promenade which is usually open all the time, and has great Danish pastries for breakfast (and Seattle's Best strong coffee). Rare silentbob007 Posted April 15, 2011 #11 Share Posted April 15, 2011 Generally the breakfast times adjust to the times when the ship docks. I don't think I've ever seen anything at 5:30, but by 6-6:30 there should be something open if you don't go the room service route.

We were on Eurodam last month. The Lido opened at 6:30 with a Continental breakfast followed by full breakfast at 7:00 but they did open earlier with a full breakfast on a couple of port days.
