Rare kazu Posted April 17, 2011 #26 Share Posted April 17, 2011 thinking -- thinking this could be done on the med cruises -- arrange a deal with the murano glass company to sale some of their beautiful glass pieces -- hal spends quite a few months in the med -- surely they could some money on that in the baltic - those cruises could sell russian motif artifacts -- like the maruska (nesting) dolls, etc They do that now, but in the Baltics the sail was only for one day and the murano glass selection is really, really limited. I bet if they did this right, they could make a nice dollar :)
Krazy Kruizers Posted April 17, 2011 #27 Share Posted April 17, 2011 we had those items on a limited basis as well on our princess cruises what they had sold out quickly princess didn't have a real contract with any company if hal did set up a contract -- they could make money people are willing to buy smaller objects than larger paintings
Rare Hlitner Posted April 17, 2011 #28 Share Posted April 17, 2011 Until you've taken a cruise with no art auctions, no photographers, and no gold-by-the-inch/junk jewelry tables clogging the shopping areas you have no idea how nice it is when they're gone. :) Too funny but also very true!
