LordWinston Posted April 24, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2011 Hello everyone! I was wondering -- has anyone sailed the Sun with a friend and you slept in separate beds? -- Which is better to do? Split the one bed into two, or use the pull out sofa bed? I also read somewhere that they let you realign the single beds so they go the long way in the cabin, on either side of the cabin and this makes the room feel larger. What do y'all suggest? :)
jackinthebox422 Posted April 24, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2011 Split the bed. The pull out coach is grat for kids - not for adults. You will have ample room either way you set it up.
Rare sparks1093 Posted April 24, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 24, 2011 I would split the beds, or use the pullman if there is one in the cabin. The pull out couch didn't look comfy at all.
Sauer-kraut Posted April 25, 2011 #4 Share Posted April 25, 2011 The couch in the balcony wasn't a pull out at all, but rather more like a daybed with bolsters that were removed and put on the floor next to the 'open' edge of the couch, and it was HARD. We had 3 in the cabin so we also had the twins separated and it was impossible to move them lengthwise as the sofa was in the way and the desk and closet space was all on the other wall. It wasn't bad to have them separated, but it was a tight squeeze at the foot of the bed closest to the bathroom wall. Then end of that bed was very close to the chest of drawers so at night we angled the bed a bit to make it easier to get to the bathroom without disturbing the one in that bed.
