puchi Posted April 29, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 29, 2011 Hello, I have some relatives who are going to be taking the Royal Caribbean out of Miami going to Bahamas, and other islands...they are from Dominican Republic and my question is: do they need a visa to go to the Bahamas or the USA Visa is enough...we called royal Caribbean and they said they wont need any other visa, but we dont want any last minute surprise.. i have heard of people unable to take a cruise because of the visa requirements. Any help ?
CruiserBruce Posted April 29, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 29, 2011 The Bahamas are not part of the US, so a US Visa shouldn't help at all. They may need a Bahamian visa, for which they could and should check with the Bahamian authorities. This can usually be done by visiting the Bahama Government website. Rare Keith1010 Posted April 29, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 29, 2011 I would do as CruiserBruce suggested. Here is the link to the Bahamas web site and it seems to imply that a visa would be required. Sometimes this is not the case for a one day stay so you really need to confirm this. http://www.thebahamasguide.com/travel/visa.htm Keith
