Himself Posted May 17, 2011 #3 Share Posted May 17, 2011 Aliaschief: Have a great cruise on this wonderful ship--the last HAL ship to FLL until the fall. David, thank you for another splendid report.
Rare kazu Posted May 17, 2011 #4 Share Posted May 17, 2011 David - thank you for your report and keeping us up to date. Aliaschief - have a great cruise. Wouldn't it be something to sail into New York on the Prinsendam?;)
aliaschief Posted May 17, 2011 #5 Share Posted May 17, 2011 The MS Rotterdam sure looked beautiful and inviting when she sailed into Port Everglade at 6:20 AM this morning.

Rare rafinmd Posted May 17, 2011 #7 Share Posted May 17, 2011 Here's a web cam for New York: http://www.wirednewyork.com/webcam3/ It was particularly interesting for me to see Prinsendam and QM2 together since this summer I'm doing Prinsendam's Arctic Explorer and then returning home on QM2. Roy It's funny looking at the size difference between the QM2 and the Silver Shadow and Prinsendam right next door. It looks as though the Caribbean Princess is also to be docked in NYC today, wonder where she's hiding at.

I know there's a Princess Ship in Red Hook, Brooklyn, I assume it would be the Caribbean Princess. QM2 usually docks there but there's only space for 1 ship. I just checked and the 3rd ship is Silver Whisper. I should have known, I have been on that ship. Roy

Rare rafinmd Posted May 17, 2011 #11 Share Posted May 17, 2011 Thank you, David, but the credit for alerting me to the situation and providing the link goes to these 2 posters on the Cunard forum. Welcome to New York Cap'n! I watched the QM2 pull into her berth from the living room this morning. What a sight to see the Prisendam silhouetted against the mighty Queen Mary 2 almost as if the HAL ship is an oversized tender by comparison.
