C&A Coupon

Recommended Posts

No but often times you receive more than one. For example my soon to be wife will have the same book in the room as me so we will have 2 coupons for 2 for 1. So the answer is no they "RUN / SCAN" your sea pass card after every order "no running tabs" and they take your coupon at that time. Hope that helps!

Average price of drinks range from $6-9 dollars each. Some are more and a draft beer is prob $5

Is there anyways to request or where could I request an extra book????
I very much doubt it, there is one book per person in a stateroom that is eligible for one. So if you have 2 occupants in a stateroom who are both entitled to a C&A discount book, then two will be provided either by the time you board, or very shortly afterwards by your room steward.

I suspect the coupons will be tracked against your onboard account as they are recorded on the receipt you sign when you use them. So if you try and use more than you are allocated, I suspect it will be highlighted to your server.

For example, we had a 1 coupon each for a 20% discount off a glass of wine (or beer or soda) and when we used them at the same time, the server had to produce 2 checks, one for each of us to sign as they couldn't apply 2 coupons on 1 check for me to sign as I was only entitled to 1 voucher, if that makes sense.

Can you use the C&A 2-drinks-for-1 coupon more than once?

What's the typical price for drinks (such as mojito and other mixed drinks with rum or vodka)?

Here is a listing of all coupons by C&A level. Current C&A On-Board Ultimate Value Coupons for C&A Members

You do realize that the 2 for 1 Beverage Discount Coupon is for the purchase of any wine, beer or soda by the glass?

It's one book per C&A member per cruise.

It's one book per person. On our last cruise (March 2011) we had to sign that we received our books as well. Our room steward said they she had to have us sign because to many people go to the loyalty ambassador and say they have not received one so they can get two. I noticed on her sheet no matter what level everyone was having to sign. Not sure if other room stewards are doing this but both our cabin & my parents cabin had to sign for the books.

Bummer if you are on a two week plus cruise. Would be nice if it was at least one book per person per week.

We waited until the day they ahd the super large 22oz tap beer for the regular size price and did 2-for-1 with that. Almost like getting 4-for-1. :D

We also used the casino match plays at the same time - wife doing roulette odd and me even on the same spin and split the almost sure thing $2.50 profit.

Some people put the unused parts of the books under the mat in the safe on last evening in case cabin attendant does not clean there. Rumor is you can get extra coupons that way.... maybe. We always look, but never find. :(

It seems to me that if you're on a back to back that is two cruises and you should be entitled to 2 books - one each week.

the roulette wheels on our recent TA on the Adventure threw greens up more times than enough so no profit for us this trip!

We had the gold books (two of them) when we embarked for week one of our B2B. We turned Platinum during that cruise, so received two Platinum books at the start of week two.

After the 2nd week we became Emerald (we were in a JS both weeks). Looking forward to those books on our next cruise, although I'm guessing they're pretty much like the Platinum books.

You get one book per person per cruise no matter if it is a 3 day cruise or a 16 day cruise. If you book a b2b, then you still will get one book per person per cruise.

Our next up is a 15nt TA. One cruise. Hence the bummer factor. On other hand price is less than our So. Carib. 7nt in same cabin category so can't complain too much.

In your case with such a long cruise, they will give you the "for longer cruises" booklet. However, I would go to the LA onboard and ask for another booklet. I do this sometimes on really long cruises. The LA is usually OK with it.

Anybody that is Diamond or above can order mixed drinks at the Diamond Event for 25% off. I went down into the Diamond Event on one of our last cruises even though it had a Concierge Lounge. I wanted a yummy chocolate martini, so I went down and got it for 25% off. They are around $6.50 after the discount.

When did they start giving out books for longer cruises?

Always receive one per person per cruise. Sometimes they are waiting for us and sometimes the cabin steward delivers them and asks us to sign for them. I think it depends on the ship.

I have seen books designated for short cruises and some which say " 7+ night cruises" I think the coupons are a little different but not positive. I do know that the D and D+ booklets don't designate.

What did your books say when you did your short cruises on Radiance in December?

All of our books have always said 7+ nights or longer whether we were doing a 7 night cruise or a 15 night cruise. However the new books that were issued as of January 21, 2011 for all C&A levels do not say 7+ nights or longer on the front cover. So this indicates to me that there is just one book issued no matter the length of the cruise. And this is verified by the laundry coupons in the E/P/D/D+/Pinnacle booklets.....

  • Wash & Fold Coupons per book - $10.00 off one $25.00 USD bag of laundry on Wash & Fold Day (4+ nights sailings only).

And the following Coupon in the D/D+/Pinnacle booklets.......

  • Wash & Fold Coupons per book - $10.00 off one $25.00 USD bag of laundry on Wash & Fold Day (8+ nights sailings only)

All of our books have always said 7+ nights or longer whether we were doing a 7 night cruise or a 15 night cruise. I thought Peggy meant that if you do a cruise longer than 7 days there is another book.

I threw the booklets away (darn it!), and only kept some of the coupons. I could swear our 13 night TA said "for cruises 10 nights or longer", or something like that. I couldn't really find anything different about it, though.

In the past, once 7 + days goes by, I go talk to the LA about another booklet.

I think they should give out a booklet every 7 days.

I no longer have the booklets from Dec but I could swear they said 3-5 day cruise or something similar. I do have my EN ones from Jan and they have no designation.

Peggy, what a smart idea on how to get an expensive drink at 25% off! Next cruise is Freedom, so that won't work. But I will do this on Mariner in Dec. and Feb. Yum. Love those chocolate martinis!

OK, my apologies for not catching up on this thread and maybe being redundant here. I was cruising from 4/20 until 5/22, and last Sunday (5/22) we put in a 27 hour marathon getting home from Rome!!!

I am just now thinking, talking, and sleeping like a sane person. We have been passing each other in the middle of the night for several nights with, "can YOU sleep? no, can YOU?". And, we did all the right things. It's just a big fat deal to recuperate from 27 hours. Next time we break it up like we did coming back from Australia: fly, stay a few days, fly.

Anyway, here's random thoughts that have been rattling around in my head:

Coupons: there's a free bag of wash 'n fold, and the $10 off $25 or more, coupon in each booklet. We were on 7 night, 13 night, 7 night cruises, so I kept the laundry coupons, and on the 13 night we had 3 wash 'n fold "events", so I used a coupon from the previous cruise.

Evening Happy Hour:

Diamond Event on the Adventure - since the sons and DIL were with us, we did not go to the CL. The 19th hole up next to the Viking Crown was a FABULOUS place for the Diamond Event. I got sushi from the Windjammer, and somebody else would get a plate of cheese, and we'd have our own munchies up there from 7:30 - 8:30 before dinner.

Concierge overflow lounge on the Navigator - this was in the Xtapa Lounge and also was VERY nice. We had 140 D+ on the cruise. Great hot/cold canapes, and a full bar. It was from 5 to 8:30, so we would go in for a drink around 5-ish, read our books and have a drink and snack (DH drinks diet coke), and then go back again just before late seating.

On the negative side I SWEAR I get the "I've seen the absolute WORST BEHAVING Concierge Lounge group EVER" award. O............M.................G!!!!

This group set up shop in the lounge at 5PM. By 7:30 they had about 10 people, all getting really, really drunk. OK, loud talking is to be expected, but "whoop-whoop" sounds? I mean Jerry Springer, fist pumping, "whoo-whoo" LOUD sounds!! They even had a security guard talk to them towards the end of the 13-night cruise, and on the last night they did it extra loud just to be in the faces of the rest of the guests who didn't like to listen to their juvenile noisemaking. One evening I even saw two people, man and woman, doing psuedo lap dances, with neck and shoulder massages from the seated person on the chair. Really now, vacation is one thing; acting decently is another. These people, being D+, were experienced cruisers, and were all between 45 - 65 years old. During the day they were just regular nice people; during happy hour they were horrible!

Concierge Lounge on the Navigator - 3rd cruise was a 7 nighter, and there were only 39 D+. Wonderful bar staff, Andre and Theo, and the Concierge, Karen. They were all wonderful. The lounge was empty off and on, especially just before late seating. We enjoyed it very much. Theo mixes with a heavy hand, so the drinks were a little too strong. He's usually in the nightclub, so he's used to the real-deal drink mixing!

Food: same-o on the AOS. Much, much better on the Navi. We found out that Transatlantic cruises are used to experiment with the menues, and they try out new dishes on them to fill in the standard menu. Yay for us! Windjammer was very good, with all kinds of foods from different countries represented. I think the food is better on European cruises, anyway.

Turnaround day between legs 2 and 3 we got a nice tour into Rome for $72 each.
