Sharon, one at a time is defiantly the way to go with loosing the lbs. Well now that you have decided to attend the reunion you do have a reason for loosing. I don't know if you saw the piece on the ABC 7 national news last night. They said how good this WW company has done for so many for loosing weight. They said that WW has the best program out there.

For bocce they do give a prize for first place and we do not have to worry about that. The one we may get is last place as they give a prize for that as well. It sounds like you really had a complete day yesterday with all of the things you were involved in. We got much rain last night and it looks like more today.

I didn't see that on the news last night about WW, Bill was watching the Packers football, but I have heard that it works about the best of any of them. It sure is working good for you. I found out that the WW meeting in town is no longer there, now I would have to go to another town to go. But so far my will power, desire or what ever you want to call it is still going pretty good, hope it keeps up. Just losing, and I'm up to 7 pounds by the way, and having my clothes feel loser is pretty good incentive.

We have not had any rain last night or today, kind of cloudy at times but no rain. It is getting a little warmer too it feels like.

This Sunday the town of Darien WI has a corn festival. They have a big parade and after the parade give away free roasted ears of corn. Also have baseball games, a carnival, food and a flea market. We are going to that and then we have tickets to go to the circus later in the day in town also on Sunday at 5pm. Should be a busy weekend.

Sharon, that segment was on between 5:30 and 6, the game came on at 7:30. Wow 7 pounds good job, keep it up. It sounds like you have a full Sunday planned.

After the downtown thing I have to go to a hall where my # 2 daughter is having a B-Day party for my 1 year old G-Son. I think it is kind of crazy for her to be spending all of this money for this now. But it is what it is. These kids now a days are a little over the top.

Don't know whats going on with this thread again, I tried early this morning, like 4am to get on and it just sat there with about 4 bars of the 10 or so needed for at least 5 minutes. I tried again, and the same thing happened. I couldn't sleep so got on the computer to see if anything new was going on. My cold that has been coming on slowly for the last week finally got here. I was all stuffy so when I got up at 4am I took some generic nyquil, it worked and I was able to sleep for about 5 hours.

I agree the birthday party for a one year old is more for the photo ops and adults than the child, but its nice to get together with family for any reason. We got a card in the mail today from one of Bill's GD's she sent us a Happy Grandparents day card, so sweet of her to think of us. She is an RN and just beautiful, tall, thin with long blonde hair and more important an extremely nice person.

How was the hotel stay and the race, bet you were getting up just about when I was going to sleep!

Heard on the news this morning the marathon is today, I was thinking it was yesterday, so this was probably the day you had to get up really early. I went to church this morning and now we are going to the corn fest. It is really warm again, looks like summer has returned for a bit.

Sharon, don't feel too bad as I have had same problem myself. So I just come back at a later time as I think they might do maintaining at various points. It was nice that you both were recognized from that nice lady. The hotel on Saturday was very nice however getting up and being down ready for the race at 5:30 was not too bad. It was a nice day and we were out of there by noon. We drove home and then changed and went to the party. A bit over the top for a 1 year old.

I am tried out today with all of the activities. Kind of run down. How are you feeling and have you got control of the cold? Weigh-in tonight as I have not done this in 2 weeks with the holiday last week.

Bet you do fine at WW tonight, I didn't do as good as I would have liked over the weekend, ate even though I wasn't hungry, grrr.

I didn't go to Zumba today, I got up and got dressed but decided I still didn't feel good enough to go and jump around, I'm sure I would run out of air as I'm still stuffy and don't feel very good. I"ve got 7 more days to get well, so it better happen! Just so Bill doesn't start in with it now. I've been taking the Nyquill and it really helps with getting to sleep, Bill said maybe I should take it even when I'm not sick to get to sleep, as I don't sleep well at night. But I don't think thats a very good idea, so won't do it once I don't really need it and feel better.

We also got a grandparents day card from Bill's grandson out in Colorado, so thats 2 we've gotten, very nice of the grandchildren to send cards.

Very warm and windy day today, I had the window open and it feels so good, but its supposed to rain tonight and turn cold into the 60's for Tues and Wed, then I heard we could have frost!

Frost, don't say that word. I also have a cold and I am feeling stuffy as well. Well I gained 2 pounds last night at weigh-in. I stayed for the meeting this time as I need to get better control of things. I can't keep going up and down all of the time. I would rather get to my goal and just stay there.

Our last bocce game for the season is tomorrow and then on Friday it is my turn to host bunco at my house. So Bill goes and waits at our club until it is all clear. With not feeling up to snuff I don't blame you for not going to Zumba or doing anything. With this changing weather it is hard to keep ourselves healthy.

Enjoy the day. Hay, I really like your new picture, looks great.

Sharon, how are you feeling today? I am also under the weather and also taking the Ni-Quill at night. It is really cooling off at night now. I love your new picture, you did a very good job. I had a lot of problems getting on yesterday. I had to do a complete scan on my computer and today it is running much better.

Well I went to Zumba this morning, but still don't feel very good. I was going to work outside as it is so nice and cool, but my engine light came on again and I went down to the Chevy Garage in town to see whats the matter with it, its the second time its came on. The first time they scanned it and said the gas tank lid wasn't on tight enough. I checked that before I went down there and it was fine. It turned out that it was some kind of EPA filter controller and the parts and labor turned out to be $209. By the time I got back home I was really tired and had a headache, so I took some dayquil and just sat down and read my book. Bill came home tonight and his nose has been running all day and he has a headache also! So I guess he has caught it from me, hopefully his doesn't hang on as long as mine has or he won't feel like going on the trip on Monday. Heck we haven't had a cold since last year and now that we want to go somewhere we both don't feel so great. I know if we get on the bus with a cold, everyone will hate us and be afraid that they will catch it too. We'll see how it goes I guess.

I don't think its your computer that is slowing down getting on here as I can't get on very quick either, it takes forever for some reason.

I am sorry to hear that you still are not feeling up to snuff. It seems at this time of year the colds can linger on. Most important thing is to wash your hands as much as possible. However I also am not feeling well either. This cold stuff just takes the life right out of you.

We won last night so our record for the season was 5 wins and 10 losses. Next Wednesday is the banquet. I figured a lot of my problem with the weight gain was the bottle of wine I drank on Saturday night. Definitely not good with all of the points I gained with that 1 bottle.

It would be too bad if you could not go on the bus trip on Monday. So get better sooner than later.

Well not only do I still have this stupid cold, but last night Bill came home with a sore throat and runny nose. So we both took Nyquil before we went to bed last night. He slept straight through, however it does not seem to be working for me anymore, I was awake off and on all night. Also the pills for Tinker are not working very well anymore for her incontinence problem so she has wet blankets in the morning even though she gets me up to go out at least 2 times a night. I had talked to the vet and she said to up the pills and see how she does, but I have given her more and still seems not to help. There is a hormone we can give her next to see if that will work. Poor dog doesn't even know she is leaking while she sleeps. Still hoping to go on the trip....

We had frost this morning, the grass was all white! I haven't looked at the tomatoes yet, but the flowers seem ok.

How is your cold, still hanging on too? A bottle of wine, must have been pretty tasty, ha ha

Sharon, not good for the both of you to be down with the cold. Poor Tinker, let's hope the vet can come up with something better. It did get cold here last night but no frost. Next week it is supposed to get back to the 80's. But it was cold playing last night. Fortunately we had the 2nd game so not too bad.

Yes, I still have my cold.

Bill said he was still planning on going on the trip, but he sat down for a bit to watch the news and fell asleep. He was taking some sinus medicine maybe thats what did it.

I got the majority of the grass cut this afternoon and will finish up the front yard tomorrow. Earlier I took my truck in to get the oil changed, it really needed to have it done. Its an 1980 something and only has 42,500 miles on it. I bought it years ago when I had horses and needed to haul hay. Now it mostly sits in the garage. Bill charged up the battery over the weekend so I thought it would be a good time to take it in.

I didn't take any medicine today, only a generic excedrin. My nose is not running, almost the opposite, a little dry behind my nose and throat.

I bet it was cold playing last night, good thing its coming to a close.

Well let's hope you both are on the road to a total recovery. Are you going out dancing tonight? Yes, it was on the cool side for our game on Wednesday. Fortunately we had the 2nd game the last game would have been worse.

Wow, those were the days when you had horses. It sounds like you have taken care of your truck. Tonight I have the girls over for bunco, and I feel bad that Bill has to leave as he would not stay here with a house full of women. So he will go to our club until they are all gone.

I was wrong about the year of the truck, it is a 1985, so not as old as I thought it was, but looks good and runs good anyway.

Bill is going to the Dr today he has a bad cough with the cold, I didn't have the cough it all stayed in my head. He has a habit of getting bronchitius so maybe he can get some medicine and take it for the 3 days before we leave so he can feel better.

It is cold, cloudy, gray and sprinkling here today, not nice at all, feels like fall for sure.

Sharon, wasn't Bill sick like now last year when you were planning to go someplace? I hope the Dr can help him out. Well having a 26 year old truck in fine condition is something. I think when they are 30 years or better, they are considered antiques. Bill came home at midnight, as all of the girls had left.

It is supposed to start warming up now, but is was cold and overcast yesterday. Enjoy the weekend.

For some reason I had the 80's on my mind, let me try one more time, the truck is a 1995 so it won't be an antique for a bit yet, ha ha.

Bill did get in to see the dr and there was a substitute dr filling in for his regular dr. She gave him some antibiotic samples called Avelox. He took one last night after diner, he's supposed to take one a day at noon but it was already 5pm when he got home. It seemed to work wonders though because he didn't cough all night long. He took another one today so I hope it keeps on helping him get better.

We did not go dancing, he mostly slept on the couch while trying to watch tv then got up and went to bed. So he has had plenty of sleep, wonder if the pill made him tired.

The pet sitter is only going to be available for 2 of the 5 days we are going to be gone but she has an associate who she trusts with her life (she said) so we are trusting her too. She came over today and spent about a half an hour talking to us and Tinker. She is coming back again tomorrow to try and get Tinker used to her coming in the house. She seems very nice so I think it will work out ok.

I am feeling better each day and should really be fine on Monday. We are having a new senior center open house today and are going to go over there and check it out. I wouldn't mind volunteering to help out there sometimes, guess I'll see who I have to talk to about that.

Yes Bill had hurt his knee last time we went on the cruise and had to be in a wheel chair.

Guess the party last night with the girls was a success if it lasted that long, or did Bill just give it extra time so he didn't run into them?

We are staying home again tonight too, so Bill can rest and hopefully get to feeling even better.

Sharon, when we play bunco I usually get home around 12:30 or 1. So this was kind of normal as he does not come home until I call him. Yesterday we went to the club for the annual fish and turkey fry. I do not eat fish so I ate the turkey. Most of the fish are caught from the lake the club is built around.

I hope the both of you continue to improve and get better. I did not realize that you would be gone for 5 days on this bus trip. Where are you going for that period of time?

Today rain, rest and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

I like fish and turkey, sounds like the club has a lot of fun things they do for members.

We are going to Michigan, sounds like the first day will be a 9 hour bus ride with stops for lunch and to stretch, we should get to Frankenmuth in time to check in at the hotel, have dinner at a Bavarian Inn and go to a Christmas store called Bronner's.

Next day we to to Charlevoix, and tour Castle Farms, then continue on to St Ignace have dinner and either go to a bon fire and marshmallow roast or the casino, Bills says we will go to the casino, it will be too cold to be outside. Next day we go to Mackinac Island for a tour of Ft Mackinac, buffet lunch at the Grand Hotel, tour the island and go back to the hotel.

Next day we start heading back, do the Soo Locks Boat tour, lunch at Tahquamenon Falls Brew Pub, tour Tahquamenon Falls State Park, tour Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum, and have dinner.

Last day we arrive in Peshtigo and tour the Fire Museum before leaving for home.

Sounds like a lot planned for the few days we have to see everything. I looked up the weather and it should be around 70 the first couple of days and then rain and only in the upper 50's for the rest of the time. We will have to take rain coats and warm clothes I think.

We went to the Senior Center grand opening today, thought it was yesterday, but it wasn't. They had a Salvation Army guy there speaking and he said they are going to have lunches starting in October everyday. I filled out a volunteer form, checked alot of things I wouldn't mind helping out with. It's only a few miles from the house so it would be convenient to get to.

Well better get busy, its a cool and rainy day here today.

Sharon, I hope you both have a real good time and enjoy the scenery and tours. This is a good time of year to do those things. I had a bust at weigh-in last week so I hope things will turn around tonight for me. It has been overcast and damp all day today.

Enjoy your trip and we will talk to you at the end of the week.
