debster11 Posted June 12, 2011 #2 Share Posted June 12, 2011 Getting involved with a bartender on board and thinking I was the only "one" and going on about 5 cruises in 5 months to follow him. I was young and stupid. I can't believe I did that. I am now married with 2 kids. Now when I think about it I can laugh but back then it was the end of the world when I finally realized it was over. Lol! Other things I regret like you is not finding all the secret doors. I am going to find them all on our nexgt cruise!

Disneycruisers Posted June 12, 2011 #4 Share Posted June 12, 2011 I regret that I NAP SO MUCH on sea days! It never fails. The nice cool temperature of the stateroom and the mild rocking makes me want to go down really fast. We're sailing the Liberty in two weeks. Maybe this time will be different (yeah right.):o

JennLuvs2Cruise Posted June 12, 2011 #7 Share Posted June 12, 2011 I regret not attending many of the shows in the theater. I always attend the comedy shows since I know that's what I like, but I'd like to give the production shows a chance too. :)
cruisinJenF Posted June 12, 2011 #8 Share Posted June 12, 2011 I regret that I have never gone down the waterslides :( Always mean to but never get the nerve up. Maybe next time......
CanWeGoYet? Posted June 12, 2011 #9 Share Posted June 12, 2011 I need to go down the waterslides too. I just ran out of time, last carnival cruise we had only 2 sea days & then it was time to pack to leave. Also need to find the secret doors, still have not done that. lillian marie Posted June 12, 2011 #10 Share Posted June 12, 2011 I regret not buying this 2nd photo on my last cruise that really made me look thin. My husband didn't look great so I passed on it.
Cruisertommyboy Posted June 12, 2011 #11 Share Posted June 12, 2011 Too much time losing at the Casino. Now if I could just win, then I wouldn't regret it
MissRabbit Posted June 12, 2011 #12 Share Posted June 12, 2011 on my first 2 cruises, i regretted sleeping in so late. on my third cruise, we were up every morning between 5am-5:30am to watch the sunrise. I'm so incredibly glad i did. Felt like i accomplished so much each day. I still have one regret..not exploring the ship fully. We were on a B2B last time and even after 14 days, i found that there were some places that we just never got to.
maxxedout2 Posted June 12, 2011 #13 Share Posted June 12, 2011 Great question. I actually asked myself that before the first Ping of the first cruise. I didn't want to miss anything. Studied the deck plans. I explore entire ship first day. Studied daily activites and menus before cruising. Knew when to skip the MDR. Purposely ate dinner early (about 6 or 6:30) so had most time for all shows. Saw good shows twice....got to most about 1/2 hour early for front row seats. Signed up for ship's tours and chef's tables. Arranged all my shore excursions before cruising. I don't gamble so I never lost a penny on any cruise or any Vegas trip for that matter. What else? Actually took some afternoon power naps here and there between stuff. Any regrets? Our friends learned you don't sit first row, first table at the midnight comedy shows unless you can laugh at yourselves...some of those comics know how to get a laugh from 'normal (?) people'. I am all for planning ahead, well, as you can tell. Now, let's see, type a period at the end of this sentence and I am done.:cool:
Froufie Posted June 12, 2011 #14 Share Posted June 12, 2011 Non - je ne regrette rien - ha ha ha Wish I had the nerve to: -try karoake -go parasailing -try the waterslide Also wish I could nap more! Always tired trying to fit everything into every day - try to nap once in a while but always afraid I will miss something (usually need a vacation after my vacation ha ha ha) :D
marshhawk Posted June 12, 2011 #15 Share Posted June 12, 2011 My first Carnival cruise I was too inhibited to get "into" it, but I loved being on the ship, so the second cruise I got involved with a roll call, but still just hung around, third cruise, I won a ship on a stick! It really doesn't matter what other people think about me, it's what I think about me, so now, PARTY! No regrets!;)
ItsAllAboutTheSass Posted June 12, 2011 #16 Share Posted June 12, 2011 First cruise I had an argument with DW. To make up for it, I bought her a bear from Hard Rock in San Juan. Now, everytime we go near a HRC, I have to buy her a bear. Sometimes what is considered "near" to her isn't considered near by me.
Lucille Bluth Posted June 12, 2011 #17 Share Posted June 12, 2011 On my first cruise I only saw one sunset. This time around I plan to watch all of them!
MorePlease Posted June 13, 2011 #18 Share Posted June 13, 2011 Great topic. I regret not getting on the water slides more. I have held back because my husband didn't care to go. Next time, he is getting left behind. My husband says he regrets packing so much. I also regret not having a nice glass of wine or champagne at one of the specialty bars. Calico Jack Sparrow Posted June 13, 2011 #19 Share Posted June 13, 2011 Yep. Just one big regret... that I waited so long to go on my first cruise.:D My name is Calico Jack Sparrow, and I am a cruise-aholic. Proud of it, too! Other than that. I regret nothing. What happens on a cruise stays...oh, wait that's Vegas isn't it.

PR0318 Posted June 13, 2011 #22 Share Posted June 13, 2011 Drinking to much at the captains party and not enjoying formal night, no need to worry about that any more.:( I am good tipper so the drinks come fast. Drinking to much in Cozumel and spending the evening sleeping it off. I guess my only regrets are having too much fun:p
dillonsmimi Posted June 13, 2011 #23 Share Posted June 13, 2011 Suffered with a mild pnuemonia for 5 days before presenting at sick bay. Felt almost smothered when on deck or in port. Finally went on Christmas AM after coughing all nite. The MD was a really smart and quite humorous guy who enjoyed teaching. The PAs were prompt and non-judgemental. My office fee was under 200 dollars, which was added to our S&S and paid for with the credit card on our account. Even got a "free" followup with a third neb treatment before disembarking! Best of all I filed with both my travel ins as well as the one provided by the hubs employer. Total amt of $$ of checks sent back was over $300! Merry Christmas! mimi
crusinpsychRN Posted June 13, 2011 #24 Share Posted June 13, 2011 I regret I forgot to tip the Cozumel Bar Hop guy...too many drinks to remember to do so. Next time I go I'll tip him double at the beginning and remember to stop drinking after the first bar. Well, maybe the second...
