Maybe this review from a K-Town native will change your mind.

Loved the review. The pictures are gorgeous! Thanks. My stepdad loves Juneau.

I'm not necessarily anti-Alaska. Right now the main issue for me is flying. I like to choose ports I can drive too which is pretty much any port in Florida, Alabama, New Orleans, etc. I hate to fly and quite frankly, can't afford it.

same for us...we have been fortunate as well...and a lot of hard work to support or habit:D. HMC, Turks looks to be a bit diff. We have Western Dream booked for Fall, Freedom 8 day next Spring and looking at Med late Summer next year. We like the 8 day with 4 sea days.

Alaska, I'd say give it a chance. Do a 7 day rndtrip out of Seattle for convenience and spend a day or two in Seattle as well. Nice place. DW and sis were not overly excited when we booked AK as they get cold when it drops below 70 degrees. They went along as we took parents...in the end we were all talking about going back and looking to do so in 2013.

Also Panama, we did a 10 day full transit. Very relaxing. I'd like to do the 10 day out of FLL one day as well. Good luck and enjoy. :)

LOL! I am at your service. I can't wait to get rid of the "Cool cruiser"

Well, since we already hijacked this thread (sorry) How many posts does it take to do that? I may need to make my goal a little more challenging lol

5,000 I think.

Other forums have nifty titles for various post levels. For example, on CC, 10,000 posts could be "Admiral" or something with a nautical / cruising theme.

I'll be joining the 5,000 club soon. Do I get any perks for that?

I am still trying to join the mile high club.

No perks, but I think being an established poster here gives you some leeway with the mods. Pure speculation on my part though.

lol I think if you have 5000 posts arush has to do your laundry. I'm not sure about that though, I may need to check the CC faq's.

Well... There are MANY itineraries I really want to do, its just a matter of getting to the ships! Someday we will do a few in Europe, Alaska & Hawaii (our daugher just married a Marine & moved to So Cal so Hawaii now becomes a real possibility).. The only itinerary from the east coast that I deliberately cruise for is Bermuda. There is not a whole lot I have seen in the Caribbean or Bahamas that I would make a special point of going back to (except Dominica, off the top of my head). Not that I don't enjoy the Caribbean ports, I do, it's just not the main reason why I choose a particular cruise from the east coast..

You will be a blue ribbon cruiser before you get to the 5,000 mark so you will get rid of the cool cruiser before then.

I wish CCL had more Bermuda and Europe options.

Well... Back to topic:p

Bermuda is a wonderful trip as you use actually have your cruise ship as a floating hotel for 2-3 days. No casino while in port, though...

Too bad no ships dock at St Georges anymore, but it's still toop of my list.

We're researching cruise options for early next year and the summer, and this seems to be a minor issue with us personnaly. Every itinierary has a least one port which we visited before, so it's not a problem for us, but when we have others that are going with us, so dont want to go back to the same place, or others want to go somewhere totally new, or somewhere they have never been. Major headache!!! We're looking at Alaska for 2013, but want the Oasis or Allue for 2012, itinerary doesnt matter for either of those ships.
