The balcony will be deeper than a side balcony, but no wider. On Voyager class ships, there is some "superstructure" to look past on the aft balconies...you won't be able to look straight down to the water...but that's really not a big deal!

your view down will be of a crew deck- not water.

there is a steel structure that you need to be aware of so its not a surprised when you board.
