Marina or Riviera Rome to Venice

Trying to decide on which of these we want to do.

The first is on Marina April 12 from Rome to Venice.

The second is on Riviera Sept 24 from Rome to Venice.

The ports are similar and as long as we end up in Venice, that is what matters the most.

Being on the Riviera, a basically new ship would be cool, but for the $2500 difference in price, I think we could deal with the "older" Marina. :)

My concern is the weather differences mid April (vs) late September, and any difference in the crowds?

thanks,dk

Weather wise it will probably be the same for either month April may be less crowded

I would take either;)

Check weatherunderground.com you can check the average temps of past years for the ports

Thanks for the help, I believe we have decided on the Marina sailing.

Good choice.

We did the Med. late April & May 2010 with perfect touring and sailing weather every day for 36 days.

Hope you'll have the same. Enjoy your cruise.:)
