Most shops that sell cameras will also provide a training class. Have you checked with the place you purchased yours?

 

If they don't, check with other Camera Shops for a training class.

 

I went to one provided by Ritz and really learned a lot.

What model did you get? I just bought a t1i and would be happy to give you some pointers, also which sailing, if we're there together I'd be happy to show you first hand too.

 

The trick i used for getting used to it was i spent a few days at our local zoo just click click clicking.

I did a quick check of my Golden Princess Patters from Alaska last month. I don't see any photography class being offered by Scholarship@Sea. The Photo Gallery staff should be willing to help you out, though. Go early in the cruise when they're not too busy.

What kind of camera?

 

All cameras should have a auto mode, start there.

 

Go back to where you bought it and ask them some questions?

 

The number one thing get out and shoot and learn, sign up for a class at your local community college.

 

Or if you are on the ship ask any of the many photographers, they should be willing to help or anyone wiht a big DSLR and lense :D
