Need Port Info Italy-Greece-Crotia-Monte Carlo-Barcelona

We will be on the HAL Nieuw Amsterdam Tapestry itinerary out of Barcelona on October 3, 2011 and returning to Venice 12 days later.

 

If anyone has info on the ports we will be visiting - Barcelona, Monte Carlo, Lavorno (Florence), Messina, Italy, Nafplion, Greece, Katakolon, Greece, Corfu, Greece, Durbovnik, Croatia and Venice, Italy, it will be greatly appreciated. We are doing a private tour with RomeInLimo in Rome. Also have rented a car with Sunrise in Corfu, Greece. I have started a post for this cruise, but there in not much action on it even with only two months to go.

Did you look thru the PORTS forum ? Many travellers post mini reviews of what they did in each port. Or read past reviews of that sailing. Do a search. There is so much info available online. There's a book called Mediterranean by Cruiseship by Ann Vipond; a discussion of each port and the sights and activities. I think frommers or Fodors has a cruise book now too. Maybe you can borrow from the library.

We did this itinerary on the Zuiderdam a few years ago and loved it! For Katakolon, try contacting George Letsios, http://www.taxikatakolon.com. We had the most wonderful day with him going to Olympia, etc. He also helped us find local drivers/guides for other ports in Greece last year.
