A little confused about the players bank at the casino

I like the idea of my gambling money being separate from my "spending" money. Easier to keep track of. If I use my S&S card in the slot machine, will the gambling money be put into a different account of sorts? Is this what a players bank is?

All goes on your S&S card, single folio. You can use cash to separate it for yourself.

Yes, it is a separate bank. When you cash out, it will go to your players bank. When you are ready to play another game, you can either get money off of your sign and sail account or your players bank. If you have money left in your players bank at the end of the cruise (or whenever you want to cash out) you take it to the cashiers cage and they will give you your money. You have the same card but it will be listed in your players bank.

It is put into a different "bank." When you get on board, you can put money (cash) into a machine, and cash it into your players bank. You will set it up the first time you are in the casino, with your sail and sign card, using your birthdate and a password. You can then "pull" money from this bank you set up by cashing out from a machine into the account, or putting cash into the machine, putting it into your bank, then taking it out a bit at a time to automatically download into a slot, or all at once - whatever you want. You can ALSO take money from your sign and sail account, and put it directly from there into a slot machine. (all without touching any green with your hands!) Dh had a problem with this - he kept pushing the wrong button, and taking money from our sail and sign instead of from the bank he had set up. Luckily, it was only $20 a time or two.

I am not the best at explaining things but will give it a try... You set up an account in the casino. Very easy at a slot machine. You either pull money from your S&S account or put cash in the slot machine or you can go to the casino cashier (the official name isn't coming to me right now) & deposit cash on your Players account. Anything you win (or anything left over) is on your Players account, separate from your S&S. You must cash out by the end of the last night.

I think I understand...

So basically, if I put $20 in a slot machine from my S&S card, then win, for example, $40 when I cash out of the machine it will go into my players bank? Then I could use the money that is in there next time I want to play? But if I lost that initial $20 I would then have to take another $20 out of my S&S account next time? Is that right?

Yes you are correct. However, if you don't want to get money charged to your S&S card, you can put cash in the machine at any time. It is really important to have your card in the machine at all times.

My DH doesn't do that and although he plays the slots a lot, he gets nothing from the Players Club and I get things. Every time we go on a cruise and I call the Players Club, they give me things like a fruit basket, wine, cash etc. but they always tell me DH doesn't play enough and I know it's because he doesn't have his card in the machine. He only puts it in when he's ready to cash out of a machine and move on. He drives me crazy with this, lol.

(He does the same thing at all casinos so in the end we both lose on some things.)

The staff in the casino on the Fascination were very helpful to everyone in explaining how it works and helping us getting it set up. They made several announcements to remind people to use their s&s cards in the machines.

I keep my gambling money separate so I put cash into the machine and I download my winnings onto the s&s card in the "players bank" then take my card to the cashier and get my winnings. I do not leave it on the card. I also play table games so I use the cash at the tables too. If I don't win and want to put more money into a machine I use more of my gambling cash. I never take money off my regular s&s account for gambling.

This is the best way to keep your gambling budget separate. I load all the money I bring for gambling into the players bank on the first night. I access these funds either through the slots or cage. If I win, I place some onto the S&S account to pay down the balance or book an excursion:D
