best site for best price?

I have always done the research on the general travel or cruise only type web sites, then when you have narrowed down to where you want to go & when...then pick out the ship or 2 that fits the best and then pick up the telephone & call the cruise line. You will get the most up to date info & prices.

I live in a small town & do not have a decent travel agency.

Always when booking a cruise talk to a warm body over the phone or across the desk.

Some cruiselines like Carnival and RCL do not allow TAs to advertise lower prices, so anything you see in public is not going to be any different than you can get booking on your own.

You need to call or email about perks. .. some like Princess can be discounted.

You have to invest a little bit of time checking out various sources as the same TA doesn't always have the best price on every cruise. If you cruise frequently however, sticking with an agent that always has an acceptable price is a good choice.
