minimum "age" for kids in pools if potty trained?

We've never sailed with kids, but my parents want us to cruise as a family. I know there are all sorts of rules regarding non-potty trained kids in pools. I have a 6 and a 2-year-old. Once my little one is trained and out of swim diapers, is there a minimum age he must be to be in a cruise ship pool? Does he have to be 3 or 4? We usually sail Celebrity, but would probably consider Royal, Princess or Carnival depending on the itinerary. I don't want to book and then find out my older child can get in the pool and my little one can't. Thanks!

I sincerely hope that there isn't an age b.c my DD worked very hard this summer to get rid of her diapers so she could swim with her sister in the pools on the Summit. She is almost 27 months. She will be very upset if they say no to her she is so proud of her accomplishment.
