Pre-purchase of soda cards

Hello,

Has anyone prepurchased the soda/unlimited drink cards using the form available online? If so, are your cruise cards marked when you check in or do you need to go to the Purser's Desk (or somewhere else) to get the sticker. I would love to have them already bought and paid for but do not want my kiddos to have to wait for the delivery to arrive. Would love to hear feedback from anyone with experience.

You will find a voucher in your stateroom that you can take with you and when you order your first soda, they will place the sticker on your cruise card. The sticker is not on your card when you are issued your cruise card at the pier.

The only thing I can think of that isn't through the voucher system now (off the top of my head) are pre-ordered flowers, which are delivered to the cabin sometime on the first day. I think Princess has become voucher happy! :)

And if you don't get around to buying it ahead of time, there will be sooooo many opportunities to buy it the first day.:rolleyes:

I can't either. Last year, my dear mother-in-law had a heart

attack three days before we were to sail.

 

Why would I want to have to track down pre-paid items when

something like this goes wrong, and we have to cancel

the cruise at the last minute?

 

I can't see any upside in paying any earlier than necessary.

i would also say buy it when you get onboard.

 

friends once bought the coffee card ahead of time and when they presented the voucher at the coffee bar for the coffee card they had no problem; however there was a coupon for a free stainless steel mug when you bought the coffee card. Staff inlcuding manager wouldn not give them the mug because he had bought it prior, and there is no way to know that a TA didn't but it for them.

 

I know it is only a stainless steel mug but guess he really wanted it.

last cruise they were selling them by elevators on buffet level. no line ups. no need to pre purchase it.

A few years ago they would give a discount if you did not want the cup but that option is gone. After a few cruises it's now just one more thing to get rid of.
