Pam in CA Posted September 4, 2011 #2 Share Posted September 4, 2011 Are we still able to bring Wine on board??:confused:Yes. No problem. If you bring it to the dining room to drink there, you'll be charged a corkage fee.
paul929207 Posted September 4, 2011 #3 Share Posted September 4, 2011 The Princess Passage Contract specificly states that you can carry one wine and champagne. It does not specify a maximum amount.

jdvmd Posted September 4, 2011 #5 Share Posted September 4, 2011 Yes, you can bring wine onboard. No limit. If brought to the dining room, you will be charged a $15 corkage fee. Your cabin steward will provide you with clean wine glasses and a corkscrew, though we bring our own opener. You can also order glasses through room service or stop by any bar and pick some up. Just to clarify a bit further, if you walk into the diningroom carrying a glass of wine, that is perfectly alright. It doesn't matter whether you bought it at a bar or poured it in your room. Seegee Posted September 13, 2011 #7 Share Posted September 13, 2011 Even though I printed the Princess Alcohol policy, which clearly states one bottle per port per person is allowed, for the purser on our trip our wine was still confiscated at the first port which was Brisbane on our 28 day around Aussie trip. This is not only extremly embarrasing but also really annoying and we will never cruise again unless our rights are clearly stated before we depart. I also doubt we will use Princess either. In this case Princess is clearly WRONG.

Obviously there's something wrong on the Dawn and you might be the one to fix it. Or perhaps this was an isolated incident on that particular sailing. Whatever it was, please send that email and let us know what happens.

jdvmd Posted September 13, 2011 #10 Share Posted September 13, 2011 Is it specifically wine? Hubby likes Baileys Irish Cream is that a no no? Only wine is allowed to be brought onboard. You will pay a corkage fee of $15 per bottle. No alcohol. Baileys would not be allowed.

sez809 Posted September 13, 2011 #13 Share Posted September 13, 2011 We took a couple of bottles on our recent MED cruise with Princess. Corkage was $15 in the dining room, even for the magnum of rioja my sister took with her! Bargain!
1 HappyCruiser Posted September 13, 2011 #14 Share Posted September 13, 2011 Is it specifically wine? Hubby likes Baileys Irish Cream is that a no no? Although not officially allowed the chances are very, very good that you'll be able to get it aboard with any problem.
hansi Posted September 13, 2011 #15 Share Posted September 13, 2011 Yes. No problem. If you bring it to the dining room to drink there, you'll be charged a corkage fee. But you can bring a glass of wine into the dining room without charge.
