laundry on westerdam

can anyone tell me the cost of the laundry machines on the westerdam. looking at the deck plan, i don't seem to see any.

There are no self-service laundries on the Westerdam. There are none on any of the Vista or Signature class ships.

You can send laundry out and pay per piece (very expensive), by the bag (reportedly up to $26 per bag), or on an unlimited basis (cost varies based on length of cruise).

There are no self-service washing machines on the Westerdam.

If you have a suite laundry is complementary. They are very good and you can expect turnaround in 24 hours.

 

People we met on our last Westerdam cruise (fellow 'pack light' enthusiasts)reported that they were able to fit a *lot* of clothes into the laundry bag.

You can call Ship Services at 1-800-541-1576 to get a price for the unlimited laundry for your cruise.

As for the laundry by the bag -- it used to be $20 for a bag. Now I have recently 2 different prices -- $26 and $29. You can ask Ship Services about that as well.

On our recent Maasdam VoV cruise (ended 27 Aug 2011) it was still $20 per bag. Perhaps it varies with itin/ship? So, your advice about calling Ship Services, might be the way to go.

Unlimited laundry is $49.00 per cabin for a seven day cruise.

 

Calling ships services may result in a completely different answer. In short, the norm is seven dollars per day. Ships services really doesn't have a clue with regard to laundry fees. They will give you some numbers, but when you board the ship, you'll find they were incorrect.
