LUPY48 Posted September 30, 2011 #1 Share Posted September 30, 2011 On Wed., many members of our cruise group spotted a $20 decrease in price for our May 2012 cruise on the Miracle. All of us sent the proper form in, some even included screen shots. All were DENIED. CCL responded that it was a 'glitch' in their system that allowed the lower fare to be posted. Great customer service, huh? Plus, the fare viewer hasn't been available since. Granted, it's only $20, but as one of our members said, it's a bucket 'o beers! Thats a bummer...keep watching, maybe it will go down even more. I found that fare viewer to be inaccurate anyway as it doesn't show the TOTAL for the cruise, it only shows the cabin portion... That's a bummer, but maybe that means you have a larger price drop in your future so keep looking and keep screen shots...don't think they can get away with that again! Rare shof515 Posted September 30, 2011 #7 Share Posted September 30, 2011 While it could be an error with carnival, i think a possible issue it that maybe you didn't submit the form correctly or was not comparing the category/rates correctly. Overall, there is not that much that can be done. Other companys have similar policy that state they can refuse pricing errors.

bills blasters Posted September 30, 2011 #10 Share Posted September 30, 2011 Doesn't seem fair. We have only had 1 $20 decrease in 9 months. But I agree, it is a bucket. Claudia

Want2Cruise 701 Posted September 30, 2011 #24 Share Posted September 30, 2011 That's nice!!! I get all excited about a price drop even if it's only $20. What a let down to find out it was a computer glitch :(. I have noticed that fareviewer is down lately.
