Ggdean Posted October 1, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 1, 2011 Hubby and I are sailing with our 3 kids. Booked two rooms. One with hubby and son and the other with me and the little two kids. Is there a way that my key can be programmed to open both cabins or do I need to take one of the kids cards. Also with a 2 year old card be able to open a door? firefly333 Posted October 1, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 1, 2011 The S&S cards open the door to whichever cabin they booked. If you want extra key cards, just go to the pursers desk and ask for one for your kids cabin. No, one card, cant be programmed to open two different locks. Ggdean Posted October 1, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted October 1, 2011 Do the kids cards open the doors. My kids are 1,3&5 and I never tried to use theirs but I would think they would which would save having to get additional keys. The 5 sail and signs are enough to keep track of without adding 2 more (lol).
cb at sea Posted October 1, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 1, 2011 Unless the kids are old enough to roam about on their own, there is NO NEED for them to have their keys in hand...you'll be with them all the time, so you'll have their keys! You can get extra keys, if you need them.
LRene Posted October 1, 2011 #5 Share Posted October 1, 2011 When our DIL and grands go, we always get them "key only" cards to our cabin so if we're on the balcony or something they can come in. You just need to ask for them at Guest Services.
