Peep Holes installed on EPIC in September

Just wanted to let everyone know that on our sailing last week on the Epic they installed peep holes in all the doors. I was happy about this since we were in a spa suite and kept having kids ring our door bell. So instead of opening it all the time thinking it was our Butler, we could just look out to see who it was.

Interesting that you post that. I remember thinking it was odd that our BA balcony did NOT have one. This was the 9/18 Epic.

They were also installed on the Spirit in Sept.

They were installed on the Pearl week of September 11....they are good ones, providing a clear view.

Yes, but with the dressing area right there in front of the door, can anyone see in? Most peepholes allow a view inside, even if it is distorted....

they have a sliding cover that covers the entire glass... allowing no one to see in and it keeps the light out

I thought the peep holes on the Spirit were pretty neat and found it weird that the Epic did not have them. Good to hear they are doing this now.

They were installed during the first weeks of September while we were on board the Gem. Funny thing - they were installed so high, my DW couldn't see out of them!

I think Kramer and Newman can reverse the peep holes. :D

A good thing to have but nothing I must have had. I guess for security this added feature does help.

 

Amazing what people will try and do on a cruise ship nowadays. :( Looking in peepholes, trying to see in windows on the Promenade Deck of the Norwegian Dream... lots of peeping toms out there! :eek:

Peepholes is new a requirement due to new changes to the Safety of Life at Sea Convention (SOLAS) that is suppose to make life onboard a ship safer and more secured

I was sitting here thinking that hopefully they limited the peep holes to just the door!
