the first night will be the welcome back show at 10:30, there will be lots of trivia and lounges are open at night.

I personally like the two singing and dancing shows that will be later in the week and have two showings each night, one for early and one for late night diners.

I like the dance classes myself .. where one of the Carnival dancers will teach you a dance.

I do not know if this will help. I found this on a post asking for a copy of the Fun Times for the Carnival Pride. I looked around for you and this is what I found in the same area. Hope it helps, I do not know if it is the ports you are going to but it should help.

You sound worried! But it all depends on what you like to do in your leisure time. DH and I are taking our first cruise in January - and the onboard entertainment ranks very low on our list of things we want to do. Primarily, we want to unplug, read books, lounge on Serenity, play some mini-golf, maybe have a flutter in the casino for kicks, and all in all just wander round the ship gazing at everything like the pair of newbies we are going to be! :D

Not to mention the ports of call - we plan on spending 99% of time in-port actually out and about, on beaches, shopping, sightseeing etc. etc. Call me weird but I'll actually get a kick out of being sucked into some of those Mexican vendors' stalls! Wandering on a beach while being offered to buy souvenirs etc. with a drink in my hand sounds WAY more interesting than my weekly trip to gas-up my car here at home! ;)

Add in to all that the fact that we have to sleep, eat, and are intending on doing the Behind the Fun tour........and I think we'll have plenty to do!

I have been on one cruise so far and my second is booked for March 25, 2012. My number 1 rule was to forget about work! Number 2 rule Have fun even if doing NOTHING! No schedule! If I make it to something I make it there if not oh well I will see it next time because there will be a next time.

You will meet lots of new people and some will become friends. The one person from the ship I keep in contact with was our waiter, we saw and chatted with him daily. He was great we laughed at each other and he added a lot to our cruising experience.

was also wondering about extra charges. do they charge extra for body art, dance lessons, game lessons...ect?

Generally not for dance lessons, game lessons, trivia, etc.

However, there are additional charges for some activities such as wine tasting, slot and poker touraments, bingo and some gym classes (others are free.)

I have been on 7 cruises and getting ready to book #8. My advice is not to worry. Vacations should be worry free. After 7 cruises, I still find something new to do on every cruise I go on. My favorite part of cruising is not having a schedule, having no where to go and all day to get there. We get up when we want, usually go to the gym and the rest of the day is unplanned. On port days, depending on where we are, we will plan an excursion. On our last cruise which was last week, we did dune buggies in Jamaica and LOVED IT. We took a taxi to the beach in Caymans. And shopped and then bar hopped and partied in Cozumel. Cozumel is my favorite port.

Just enjoy your self and don't stress over it. Doing anything on a cruise is better than going to work at home.

Happy Cruising!!!!!!!
