Where does ship dock in St. John NB?

Just wondering where the ship (Glory) docks in St. John.

I google mapped, and of course I assumed it would right on the coast. I googled and came up with CruiseCenter that is inland, looks like it goes under a bridge, and through a channel or such.

Anyone know? Just wondering... I don't usually go topside as we pull into port, but I think if we are going through the channel, it would be pretty.

Thanks!

  • 1 month later...

Two months ago we were on Carnival Glory. October 8th-15th.

We were docked parallel to Water Street (if that's any help to you).

Also in port that day was Jewel of the Seas, she was docked a short distance away..

..at about 90 degrees orientation to how we were docked. That's the Hilton at right..

As soon as we got out of the St.John cruise terminal on Water Street

there was a local craft market set up under a large marquis!

We found the stuff on offer to be varied and quite interesting.

There was a woodworking fella who had his stall set up

with some amazing things he'd made from various local woods!

Didn't get his name (shoulda!) but he was obviously a career wood-craftsman!

Don't miss this dockside craft market under the marquis.

I'm guessing they take it all down for winter

(ours was the last Carnival Glory cruise for the year)

and then set it all up again sometime in June?
