I posted this on the Vancouver thread on the West Coast board but will put it here as well since some of us locals are on this one.

 

Just a note to our locals from your downtown source - the Cascadia Hotel is no more it is reverting back to a Residence Inn by Marriott and will be managed by Silver Birch Hotels and Resorts - currently closed for renos - lobby and front getting a complete make over.

When you go to Stanley Park this time around be sure to visit the Aquarium.

 

Another option is to ride a bicycle over there. You can rent them not too far from the Pan Pacific Hotel.
