h_blond2 Posted October 30, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 30, 2011 We are thinking about taking our next cruise out of New Orleans. Anyone know of any hotels that offer park and cruise packages? Also, does anyone know the price of parking at the NOLA cruise ship pier? Thanks!
ready2cruzagain Posted October 30, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 30, 2011 I know the Holiday Inn Superdome use to. You should google park and cruise for New Orleans. The parking at the pier was $16.00 per day last time I checked. Oversized vehicles are more.

Does that hotel offer transportation to the pier? If not, how are you getting to the pier?
kwbound Posted October 30, 2011 #5 Share Posted October 30, 2011 We r staying at the Holiday Inn French Quarter on Dec 3. One nite stay and 8 nites parking for $209. That is the night before the Saints play the Lions at home and there was not a lot of availability in the Quarter on that date. The rate will probably be less on weekends the Saints arent at home. We have stayed at the hotel before and enjoy it so we are happy. It is in a great location 1 block off Bourbon. We will have to take taxis too/from the port but it is not far so it shouldnt be much. I believe parking at the pier is $112/wk.
amichel Posted October 30, 2011 #6 Share Posted October 30, 2011 Does that hotel offer transportation to the pier? If not, how are you getting to the pier? Not that I could see from the website. If there is no shuttle, we will take a quick cab ride.

firefly333 Posted October 30, 2011 #8 Share Posted October 30, 2011 Iv done it at Holiday Inn Superdome, $99 for the night and parking in their garage, plus they shuttled to the port.. they were not allowed to pick up, said the taxi drivers report them and it winds up being a fight. Iv also done drury which is the nicest .. but they charge $35 more to park there, not included for free. drury has other perks, like the free happy hour. mkluvs2cruise Posted October 30, 2011 #9 Share Posted October 30, 2011 Wwe did the Drury Inn Park and Cruise. It was really nice and would definietly stay there again. And its only a short walk to Bourbon Street. Had no issues with car safety either.

love4monsters Posted October 31, 2011 #11 Share Posted October 31, 2011 We are booked at the Hampton Inn with the cruise package. It was $99/night plus 13 per night for parking. It included breakfast and a shuttle to and from the cruiseport. We wanted easy and figured it was worth a little more for the convenience. We would like to take our 4 year old to the aquarium before the cruise and it was super close. We thought about parking at the Fulton garage and were close but the easy factor won out! :D We are crusing out 12/18 on the Spirit. Not a moment too soon either.
