NCL Sky or RCL Majesty?????

I'm trying to decide do I go on the NCL Sky (4 day) or the Majesty (RCL). Both are around the same pricing.

Without knowing a single thing about you- interests, previous cruise experience, age, etc, how can we make a recommendation?

Short & sweet: husband/wife in our 50's.

 

This will be cruise #31, all have been 7+ days. Looking for a short get away - 4 days - nothing fancy, nothing expensive but would like to enjoy ourselves.

Like the shows, casinos. Not into the special restaurants but like the diningroom.

No disrespect intended, but after 31 cruises, I would think you would know a fair amount about both of these cruise lines, and thus know their strengths and weaknesses.

 

After just 14 cruises I know we wouldn't like NCL, but would favor, in this case, RCCL. Our demographics are similar to you, except we have no interest in the casino.

If this was me and the number of cruises you have gone on I would choose RCI.

I have been on both and enjoyed them both! With that being said, I did like RCI's private island better. Hope you have a good time on whichever one you pick!:)

I agree RCI's private island is better. However, if you walk to the left on Great Stirrup Cay you can see Coco Cay; as you are sitting on the beach on Coco Cay the island in front of you to the right is Great Stirrup Cay. Other than than they are similar enough. If all else fails, flip a coin.

I haven't been on RCCL in many years, but the "freestyle" dining aspect offered by NCL definately makes for a more leisurely experience in my book. We will be returning to the Sky in January.

Did you also check on the Liberty of the Seas?

The Sky goes to Freeport while Majasty goes to Key West. Since we live in south west Florida and Key West is a been there done that for us, we opt for Freeport.
