itsalljimmysfault Posted November 11, 2011 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2011 When your ship is in port late, is dinner still served in the MDR or just the buffet? Not really an argument, just wondering since when our ship has been in port late, we have not been on it for our usual MDR dinner so we don't know! :p Thanks! cb at sea Posted November 11, 2011 #4 Share Posted November 11, 2011 Of course it's served! On late port stops, we'll head back to the ship to eat (if we're near!) and then go back out later, time permitting!
Lv2Camp&Cruise Posted November 11, 2011 #5 Share Posted November 11, 2011 We will be in Nassau overnight on our 3 nighter next month. We plan to board the ship for dinner in the MDR and then head back off for the evening.
gapearl Posted November 11, 2011 #6 Share Posted November 11, 2011 Yes, dinner IS served. We ate in the MDR when our ship was in Cozumel until 10 pm. Dinner was slow and a little empty, but went on as usual.

We plan to board the ship for dinner in the MDR and then head back off for the evening. I did that cruise, and for us the dinner for the overnight day in Nassau was formal night. So if possible good not to miss.

What they do from my experience is late port days not all dining rooms are open. Generally one is and it's open dining, very much like anytime dining. Last year on the Freedom, one night this was the case. I'm not sure which port though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. Please excuse typographical errors.
