Port or Starboard on Eclipse St. Kitts Itinerary

Which is better on this itinerary, port or starboard? We prefer to be able to see the port from our balcony...

Just toss a coin. You never know until the ship docks which way it will be facing or if there might be another ship docked alongside you thus blocking your view.

I have a (semi) foolproof way - we are cruising with good friends. We get SR's on opposite sides of the ship. Near each other where we can zip through to them, but that way, one of us will have the 'desired' view in port. And sometimes, the opposite side from the port is more desireable. We don't need to be hooked at the hip being next door to each other and it works great.

But except for that, there is no real way of guessing becaue as stated, it depends on when your ship gets in compared to other ships in port and which berth they are assigned, the wind direction and seastate, and the tides. In some ports, you are looking straight into another ship.

enjoy, and realize in many instances, whatever view you get, there is an outstanding chance it will be interesting. I personally love the opposite to the port view in Key West and in Nassau, but then again, its fun watching who is scrambling to get back to the ship right at depart time - watching some taxi racing up and people frantically jumping out and running to the gangway!

Den, I agree. We had a front row seat at one port call and were just amazed at the action on the wharf 5 minutes before final boarding time. Several taxis speeding to drop off people, buses everywhere and the dock workers just trying to stay out of the way. That was fun to watch.
