scapino Posted November 30, 2011 #1 Share Posted November 30, 2011 I am scheduled on the Jan 5th Silouette and realized that the first few days are the biggest in college football, all the biggest bowl games. Does anyone know the chances that any/most/all of these games will be broadcast somewhere on the ship? I guess if I have to spend time on the newst, most beautiful ship afloat without my games, well, que sera sera. But it would sure be nice watching the national championship with some champagne and fellow football nuts.
Nowisthetime1 Posted November 30, 2011 #2 Share Posted November 30, 2011 Normally, the sports events are in one of the bars on each ship. I don't think you will have a problem. Check at the desk which bar to go too. Have fun, but enjoy your cruiser most.

We sailed Silhouette on 11/6 and we watched Sunday football in Michael's and they had screens in the casino too. Cabin TV's have ESPN so you'll surely see some football. I was on board the eclipse two weeks ago and posted a similar ? about the NFL as the NY Jets were on TV twice within the 7 days I was on board. Both games were on national TV and therefore broadcast on board the ship. I believe it was channel 17 or 18, call guest relations and they will tell you for sure. Had to spend quite a bit of cash to send my girlfriend to the spa twice and the jets lost twice but other than that great trip.
cynbar Posted November 30, 2011 #5 Share Posted November 30, 2011 This is not exactly the same but it might be pertinent, so I'll pass it along. Last year we were on Eclipse during the NFL playoffs. Celebrity made a big deal out of it --- games were shown on a big screen in Celebrity Central with a buffet consisting of "game day" snacks (hot dogs, nachos, wings, that sort of thing.) Bartenders were there to serve drinks. It was a lot of fun to watch with other fans -- except for the fact that our Patriots lost to the Jets, of course! Games were also on in the casino and on the cabin TVs. I would imagine that at least the bog bowl games are handled in the same way.

edgee Posted December 4, 2011 #7 Share Posted December 4, 2011 Espn on ship is an international version that picks up sports televised by all networks. Last Sunday on the Eclipse i watched CBS telecast of Denver SD game with ESPN logo on corner of screen.

Rare Lois R Posted December 4, 2011 #9 Share Posted December 4, 2011 They did a great job on the Solstice for the Superbowl!!!! Lots of food, drinks and fun!!!!!! Hi,:) I was on Summit for the SuperBowl and they did a great job too:D Food, fun, drinks, they had "The Squares game" in the casino and 2 of my tablemates won the 4th quarter! If memory serves, I think that was about 700 bucks! You could buy 10.00 or 20.00 squares. They showed the game on a GIANT screen in the main theater with all kinds of food, from a carving station to nachos and they also had a smaller buffet set up in the casino with the game on the tvs in there as well.
